Morocco Tour
Amazing country - so much variety
Fez - has a Medina (walled city) like no other - about 800,000 live inside it allegedly some never set foot outside - with tanneries (interesting smell) inevitable carpet shops and some huge houses in amongst the narrow streets -
- where you need to keep a look out for donkeys who take no prisoners!
The music is perhaps an acquired taste.
Sahara desert - not the most comfortable ride but very evocative & night out under the stars.

Todra Gorge spectacular climbing and dry hot mountains
Contrasting with moist & cultivated oases at the bottom
Essaouira - a fishing port frequented by Jimi Hendrix and Cat Stevens (as was) so a gathering place for ageing hippies like us. And some welcome sea food as a change from wall to wall tagine.
Marrakech - the soukh presents a serious navigational challenge - see High Atlas mountains page for solution that does not involve paying money.
Djemaa el Fna - the main square in Marrakech - snake charmers by day (don't think Barbara really enjoyed this) and food stalls by night - great atmosphere at any time.
